The final of Euro 2016 has been decided and will see Portugal face off against the host nation, France. Everything is now to play for and both teams will be determined to win this game and mark their names in the history books of European football.
It is quite amazing that Portugal have made it to the final of the tournament considering the fact that they were almost eliminated in the group stages of the tournament. That being said, they have managed and that shows the heart and fight in this team. This side will rely heavily on the guidance of Cristiano Ronaldo. Even though the Real Madrid superstar has yet to really make his mark, he is the biggest name in this squad and considering the inexperience of many Portuguese players, he will need to be a leader if they are to win. Portugal have a team that can upset any side on their day and if France are not careful they might just have to take the silver medal.
That being said, this France side is quite amazing. This team has pace, it has stability and it has creativity. That is something that we don’t see in many international sides. This is one of the best nation teams going around but like Portugal, there is a sense of inexperience in this team. It will be important for the likes of Pogba to be leaders rather than just good players and that might be the difference.
I am going to predict a French win here since I think they are simply too good. This should be a close game though considering the set up and the scenario of the occasion so the best betting option is the under 2.5 goals. We are getting a pretty good price on this bet so I think it is the best play here.
